the best things about the local scene...

suont and i started this post cause we decided that contrary to deciding on the worst aspects of our scene it's probably more productive to focus on the positive aspects of our scene

1. lucky dragon mondays (2 years strong & yummy vittles)
2. fine arts (by local artists) on display in clubs, cafes and restuarants
3. growing unity
4. people making it possible for us to see good talent (thank you, gary, corey, and others.
5. papago park...
6. sub:conscious (not just because we're a part of it, but because all of you are too!):cute

I just want to thank everyone for making Monday's @ the Lucky D a success. We could not have done it without you.

And remember, our knowledge is limited the talent is obviously endless and the music is our universal language

Best things about the local music scene?

Damn, I would have to say that people I meet here are great and
accepting of what i do, and give me an opportunity to share my music and ideas.

For instance, Nappe and Lego let me come down and play at their DNB Weekly at Evolution Bar a couple times after never hearing me play out. I didn't even think I was ready to do it, but they still encouraged me to come out and play. Ariel was cool enough to be first one to drop my dubplates on the crowds and had never even heard my music before.

I keep meeting more and more people in the scene that are interested in helping out, as opposed to turning away.

That is for DAMN sure. The variable of being a girl made it even more difficult; I don't think I could tell you all HOW many times I heard, "whoa, she CAN spin". But that was my experience; everything happens for a reason. It definitely toughened my skin. Just TRY to mess with me now! :monkey
