People only get kicked off if they don't offer any value to the board and just contribute negativity... so far only 1 person has done this. Complaining and whining is good, as long as there's some type of solution suggested with it. Personal threats will get you kicked off.

goldie put out beach drifta last year. as well he owns metalheadz which has put out some very tight releases recently.

yeah no doubt, metalheadz is the label to watch as we move into the next half of this year as well as 2003.. finally goldie is signing some tracks with fucking balls!!! :slayer
i'm personally waiting for the new box set.. teebee's angel remix and bleeps tune remix, klute - unwind yourself, among other wicked tunes on that.. :lighter

I am looking for something Goldie has done recently that can even compare to Saint Angel off of Timeless or even Dark Metal under Rufige Kru???? Even Fabio's Ghost...tell me those are not killers...

Anyway to postpone goldie to a following or previous week? He's one of the first DJ's that I listened to that got me into drum and bass. And I'm going to be in Florida that weekend!!! :(

There's no denying that Goldie hasn't had the impact he did before '97 - but the fact that he is still involved in dnb (metalheadz label, essential mix cd's, doing remixes) shows that he does have integrity. Granted, the "Liquid Fingers" remix doesn't come close to the level of production he was doing with Rob Playford, but seeing him put underdog tracks like Digital's "Hard Ears" on a major release mix cd is pretty dope, IMHO.
I don't think most of us plan to be blown away by his mixing, but I'm sure we'll all get to hear some new tracks and see a bit of dnb history in one night.

yeah, goldie's not really about too much these days as far as im aware. last thing i heard from him was ark angel a few years back(but i haven't heard much of anything for a while).in the days of timeless, goldie WAS about it no question. i just haven't ever seen him play and would like to hear what material he's feeling. on the other hand, Im revved the shit up to see doc scott.
It's now final Marly Marl & Mc Rage will be joining Goldie for this show!!!!

don't knock goldie... he's actually a decent dj (when he's not fucked up), but more importantly than that, he has *the* best-stocked record bag in the industry. he will play stuff that you have never heard, and you may never hear again.
when i saw him he played this tune that was so sick i still have dreams about it (rewound 3 times), and i'll probably never know what it is, but it gave me a magical, emotional moment, and that's what this music thing is all about.

Thats what I figured. but the pictures Gary posted threw me for a loop.
The pciture of Marley marl he has there has a "RAP PAGES" banner, in the background, implying it was taken at a hip hop show. this would suggest a hip hop performer, and would lead me to (mistakenly) believe its the hip hop Marley Marl.
Could be that Gary went looking online for pics of the Metalheadz Marley Marl and found pics of the hip hop Marley Marl instead, posting them mistakenly and confusing the shit out of me.
Or it could be the very same Marley Marl, now performing with Goldie. I wouldnt be surprised, KRSone did "Digital" with Goldie as well.
I feel you on the name recycling though...Warren G, Shabba, etc. It happens, oh well.
But if it is the hip hop MArley Marl, Id pay just to see him alone, and Id pay double to see him with Goldie.

As I said in the first post the tickets are available to anyone but we have not publicized the offer to the general public, only on the Sub-Con board. And yes Jason you are correct I will be posting it to AZ Raves here in the next couple days but the post will link thru Sub-Con :)
