View Full Version : Synthcore
I played in LA last night with UFO! and he was playing "synthcore." Shit was dope. Sounded kind of like electro but with a heavy techno and gothic influence. Vocals were off the hook! Its pretty weird shit and from what I gather its only big in Germany and NY. Does anybody know anything about this stuff! I want to find out more about it and, possibly, if and where I could buy some...

If so, you should probably go check out Wednesday's at Freedom - they have a goth/industrial night there and most of it sounds like that.
yeah, and a couple of weeks ago, they actually crucified someone there. all i can say is -- heh! :devil
not as hardcore as that... It has a gothic influence but its more of a eurofuck/techno atmosphere.
hey owain, i'm curious to know if you're talking about this synthpop euro-clash stuff i've been getting into. check out the link in my signature for "Defining Tech" (a compilation put out by a label i'm working for) and there's a track listing of artists you can check out, some with mp3s. let me know if this is the same stuff...or at least similar...some of it is can be cheesy but the electro and gothic influences are straight out of the 80's and sort of fit your description.
easy,
a.

I've heard of synthcore before, some people actually know it as synth-rock...this stuff is really big in the east coast, there is a guy in cleveland, Christopher Foldi, and he puts out some really dope shit...other than that, London West carries synthcore. :monkey

It does! That's why I designed my "get your rave on" accessory pack for the "experienced" candy kids. It comes complete with protective neck and arm guards designed especially for those nights when you want to give a little extra to the plur massive and "beef up" your "get-up!" One size fits all and my kit comes with many other accessories. PM me for more details....

Aleks: Thanks for the props. We have a new CD called 'Haywire' and a pair of remix discs (one came out this spring, one will be out in the fall). Here's a link for some downloads:

All: Nice job on the communty... I help with a similar, but more general electro group in my neck of the woods:
