View Full Version : Ashcroft
I'm all behind the War On Terror and everything, but this guy is out of control.
Check this first link out... his article called "Keep Big Brother's Hands Off The Internet" written when he was Senator John AShcroft from Missouri, for USIA Electronic Journal, Vol. 2, No. 4, October 1997: http://usinfo.state.gov/journals/itgic/1097/ijge/gj-7.htm
...fast foward to now, and check out his proposed bill regarding the same issue: http://thomas.loc.gov/cgi-bin/query/z?c107:hr3482:

The only thing that makes me feel good about the homeland security bill is that there's another branch of the government that will eventually be underfunded, undermanned, and totally worthless. They can't even handle the departments they have now...i.e.-the INS & public school systems.... What a fucking joke.

only problem is that regardless of the "need" of said agency, you and i (taxpayers) fit the bill.
