florists for lunch (or at night, i hear they play jazz sometimes) and then the phx art museum for the remainder of the afternoon. check out the phillips show.
plaid for italian sodas and summer bbq sandwiches
scottsdale stadium for a giants game, hot dogs, and lemonade (or, I hear that new stadium up in surprise is amazing up against the mountains. go check out a. rod and the rest of them)
a day at desert ridge.... drinks at fat tuesdays or a few games at jillians then catch a movie at the amc there.
drive down to nogales for the day for authentic mexican food. we did that for the first time today and it was awesome.
if it were winter: best all time date ever....... zoo lights. I love the zoo in the daytime too.
scottsdale has an art walk, i think,... look into it.
anything with live music that doesnt drown out your voices: major plus.

omg! Go to Pizzaria Bianco...reserve a table when you get there, then go next door for a beer or wine, unpitted olives dressed with garlic butter, and some parmesan cheese in a quiet, candle-lit, colonial setting until your table is called for the best "pizza" in all of Arizona. And no, they don't have pepperoni.

I second going to Pizzaria Bianco--my whole family LOVES that place and we're Italian, so we generally don't like many restaurants that claim to be Italian. They make everything fresh and by hand--from the pizza dough to the mozzerella. Plus, Chris Bianco is internationally known: Bianco was featured in The Italian American Cookbook by John Mariani and Galina Mariani.
And yes, I have the book.
Pizzaria Bianco is the best pizza I've EVER had... period. I'd take a date there if i could get one.
