this party turned out to be one horrendous lie after another. four massive stages turned into 2 small ones (which by the work of some genius were set 20 feet from one another; causing a massive soundclash all night). the party that was supposed to start at 12pm started at 8pm. weak accomodations, weak turn out, promoters fucking over the local talent and trying to conive their way out of their agreements with headliners. the sound....let's not even go there.

this party was the last rites of the rave scene!

on the positive side deepfreq, zang, preecha, athene, zero, dft, gary b., terra (& his girl), suont and me rolled down together in top dog caravaning posse style. thru out all the bullshit trials and tribulations everyone remained united in one tight-as-hell unit.
the positivity and solidarity of our group sent out a strong message to not only to the promoters, but also to the poor patrons at this event.

rave is dead, but DnB seems like it's starting to mature and grow past rave's high school B.S.

maybe i'll talk more about this monstrosity later right now i'm gonna go to bed!

glad to be home ....i missed the rest of my fellow sub:cons!

as for the crew that accompanied me on this trip...you guys make me proud to be doing this!

g'nite

1 good thing that happened at Golden! after the rest of the sub-con crew (not including myself) took off back to PHX and the smoke cleared Dj Terra got up on stage and fucking tore the hinges off the joint for like 2 hrs :) BONUS

Yipes... I knew there was a reason I did not head down. I did want to backup the crew but I had obligations in town this weekend. Sorry to hear that things did not turn out that well. At least subcon stayed cool and collect which is a good thing. Don't want you guys rippin headz off... hehehe...

All of who went down there knew it was most likely not going to go off. We expected to at least get paid, and hopefully play our sets; we got neither.

BTW, boycott Sonik magazine (aka, the Scottsdale plastic-people glorified coupon book and silicon spread)

That is straight up wrong. Breaking a legal binding contract is not something a promoter wants to do.

hey guys...i have a golden horror story for you all, but i'm tired, ti's three something...and i just got in...it involves:
my car's clutch dying,
my car still being in mexico,
my mex insurance not covering it,
me having to go back this morning to get it,
having federales look at it, wondering whose it is,
and me playing musical shaded spots with my record case,
:raging :raging :raging :raging :raging :raging :raging :raging :raging :raging
a full story bout it later....i gotta vent somehow....

I hope its still there when you get back. Kinda odd that Subaru Imprezas were made to off road ralley and your clutch is toast.... hrmmm......

They're made for rally cross, but have to be prepped. Remember, those cars you see on speedvision have got hundreds of thousands of dollars behind each car with support 200 percent of the way...i got a car payment, and a car that is set-up primarily for the street...it's amazing it got as far as it did...much respect to subaru...and thank god for my warranty....
