sad for me:
the red cross yesterday admitting that there are so many civilian casualties in Baghdad, they've lost count.

Butting into another country's business..... there is nothing wrong with being against that. But what can you say, that's what the U.S. has always done best.:down

i saw a sign held by a group of cheering iraqis that said " TO U.S. HUMAN SHIELDS- GO HOME YOU STUPID WANKERS!"

the people of iraq hate the anti-war movement and the protesters. we will never experience even a fraction of the horrible lives they lived under saddam. they are sick of seeing their loved ones getting raped and killed by his regime. the people are crying tears of joy now that we have freed them. i cant see why people would be against that. somebody please give me a reasonable explanation. :rolleyes

One of the many reasons Danielle pointed out. Those same families prehaps have members dying in the bombings. The phrase "damned if you do damned if you dont" comes to mind.

Okay here's a story that will make you guys happy....or at least smile:

An Iraqi soldier of Saddams regime was traveling to his local bar by camel. He, finally, reached the bar and stepped off his camel to tie him to a post.
Outside the bar were 2 civilians. One said to the soldier "Hey! Nice camel."
The soldier replied, "Thanks!"
"Is it male or female?" asked the civilian.
"Female," he replied.
"How do you know?"
"Well, on the way over here I passed by to US soldiers who said 'Look at the big pussy on that camel!'"

True story......really.

Okay not really. :D

Gotta love Maxim.

PS- This joke doesn't reflect my personal beliefs or anything, it's just a joke.

Of course its great to see the Iraqi people happy, liberated and getting their loot on like the LA riots of '95. They're so liberated now! I'm going to throw a party to celebrate the first opening of a Starbucks over there.

A few things for us all to ponder now:

Will weapons of mass destruction ever show up? Does it even matter anymore?

Will we see the US government do something about liberating Tibet? Chad? North Korea?

I think that if our only motive is to liberate oppressed people and not just to open up trade for oil, than we have a hell of lot more bombing, shockin' and awe'n, and friendly firing to do.

Yay for the fall of Saddam... but did anyone seriously expect a different outcome once this so called "war" started? Its like celebrating winning a fight with an infant. I see this as just the first move of a very long game.

God Bless the United Corporations of America!

Report: U.S. Finds Missiles with Chemical Weapons

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - U.S. forces near Baghdad found a weapons cache of around 20 medium-range missiles equipped with potent chemical weapons, the U.S. news station National Public Radio reported on Monday.

NPR, which attributed the report to a top official with the 1st Marine Division, said the rockets, BM-21 missiles, were equipped with sarin and mustard gas and were "ready to fire." It quoted the source as saying new U.S. intelligence data showed the chemicals were "not just trace elements."

It said the cache was discovered by Marines with the 101st Airborne Division, which was following up behind the Army after it seized Baghdad's international airport.

U.S. Central Command headquarters in Qatar had no immediate comment.

The United States and Britain launched the war against Iraq to rid the country of weapons of mass destruction. Iraq denies having such weapons.
