Logic is dope. . .

if I were still using logic. . I'd have a soft sampler to trigger some kit sounds. . .and program them in the piano roll or step sequencer. .

otherwise. .. get yo self some loops, chop them into pieces and reorganazize them to taste. . .

Ok I got Logic and Reason and Wavelab and Soundforge 4.5. How do i start making beats. I can sotra use Reason but I cant make really compressed snare rolls and stuff so its boring. Can i export a reason drum hit to Soundforge and cut it up and layer it then put it in Logic? How do i do this plz^^

You should start with some classic drum breaks to build a kit, along with a few synthetic drums to reinforce them. I'll get you sorted on that soon enough.
