We got about two times more people than we expected, so things are off to a good start. First night's of weeklies always do well - the tough part is maintaing the momentum over the next few weeks.

So now we'd like to hear from everyone that went:

- What can we change/add to the night to make it better?
- Did you like the percussionist?

More good news: the recording of the entire night sounds good! :slayer I'll have the mp3's up sometime this weekend, and look for a few limited edition cd versions floating around at other events.

Eric Zang, the percusionist that performed this week, has a profile up:

His roots in Phoenix music run deep - we are very grateful to have him included in what we are doing.

Adam, Misty & I played with him tonight at Sampan (a night that's best described as a practice session that pays) and it was quite fun... muting the tracks out to hear his fills is really nifty.

The nite turned out really quite well. Massive respect to all involved!
I loved the additions to the already nice atmosphere (drapes and whatnot).
I also dug the fact that i don't live fifty years away from the skylounge :banana
