hey you peeps know where i can download a type and speak program for windows?...you know those programs that let you type in something and it speaks it out for you in a cheesy synthesized voice...

Buy a speak and spell ;)

Also see if your windows box has text ole... came with the old skool sounblaster cards.

if you are running windows 98se, ME, 2000 or xp, goto run under your start menu and type:

narrator

Its the generic microsoft text to speech application that comes with most typical installations.

It is even more retro than sayit. Ported from the atari st program. Reminds me alot of an old Radio Shack TRS80 speech synth box my Dad had when I was a yungin.

I was able to get the output internally routed to my recording software by using my soundcard's "direct rewire" function.

It's a software versino of the original Speak N Spell. Even looks just like it. To bad it's not a VST plugin. :crying
