Do you have a predetermined set or do you swing it? Do you match records accorting to drums/bass/vocals/style?
I usually come with a predeterminded set cause only a few toons go with others so I have to move fast when im on the decks. I usually try to match drums/bass/vocals and style of the record. I practice mixes alot and when i pull out a toon at home i usually know what toons I want to hear next...

well.. i never plan out any sets... never have, probably never will.. Usually before a gig I will go through the crates and pick out a good selection of things i'd want to play.... but when i get on the decks i mix purely from the vibe i get from the crowd... I always try to top the last record... you don't wanna go from a big slammin' tune into something that drops pathetically...
it's all about making the crowd move..

I have only been spinnin for about 3 or 4 months, but when I play records,or when I have played out the few times i have,I usually try and plan the start of my set, after that, its pretty much whatever I am feeling,or whatever the crowd would appear to vibe off of.
Ive only been collecting records for about 5 or 6 months, and I already have a quality selection.Im actually pretty shocked I have found the toons I have. The trips to Cali dont hurt either,

it is hard to explain, i match beats on the phase of the snare because i do the pitch control thing
it is more of a cub-conscious effort,
yes 9 times out of 10 i have a set unless i am tagging or versus modin it cause then i wanna be more versitale in the mixes and have the chance to up the hardness
uh before i mix though no matter how prepared or for sure i am that it will be an ill set, i get fuckin nervous and usually puke(yeh it sounds gaf, but i am hell bent on perfection)
