whenever that was from, the AWOL nights in 94/95 were the best jungle tapes of all time no doubt about it.

From the new knowledge interview with andy c..

"I was out with Rob Playford -the boss of Moving Shadow records- down at AWOL in 94. It was about 6am and Kenny Ken came on. 'Dred Bass' was Kenny's first tune and it absolutly blew the place to bits. It was one of those moments you dont get nowadays, where you feel 'I've never heard anything like this before'. Low and behold, later that week Rob Playford called me up and said 'I've signed it - I've signed 'Dred Bass' to Moving Shadow! I was like 'you lucky bastard!' andy said jokingly."

Intre web says:
Some self-proclaimed "nerds" use the term to describe any person who is deeply interested in science, technology and/or mathematics. Recently, a trend has begun in which people who grew up being called "nerds" have claimed the word for their own and use it as a source of pride. Often these "nerds" tend to be interested in comic books, role playing games, film, science fiction literature, collecting records and dj subculture.
