View Full Version : best mix to listen to while you fall asleep
seriously, this isnt meant to put down other dj's mixes(meaning the mix is boring). this is to say what helps relax you to put you to sleep.
best sleep mix = DJ ODE - in the mix vol. 2 :snore

Yeah - I have that mix cd... pretty mellow, chilled... until he starts scratching all over that 'yeah, cmon' track.
Boards of Canada, dub and jazz helps me get my snooze on.
im usually asleep before the mix hits that point

I usually listen to Tricky, Portishead, Dido, or Billie Holiday before I go to sleep.
Any sort of trip hop or jazz will do tho.

it's all about the old warp shit in this category-- artificial intelligence 1&2, bytes, polygon sea, etc... puts you to sleep like novocaine.
dnb wise i'd hafta say the logical progression series. :snore

When I used to roll I liked to go to sleep to Brian Eno or Aphex twins ambient sessions. Great stuff, i love ambient.
Boards of Canada is really great too.

Sleepy-time toons is my specialty! For mixes, there's that classic "DJ Kicks" Kruder and Dorfmeister that's totally chill, or Talvin Singh's "Back to Mine" mix... Artist-wize I like Nightmares on Wax (which sounds like a bad idea but it's really OK) or Kid Loco (esp "A Grand Love Story"). I would say Portishead but that chick's voice is like guaranteed to give me bad dreams-- sounds good but creepy.

I would have to say....Brian Eno "The Shutov Assembly" or "Neroli." Also, Robert Rich "Bestiary" is a favorite for hitting the alpha and beta waves right quick.
